Rocky Explorers

Adults Only Chapter

Even though we are classified as an Adults Only club, children are welcome and there have been several campouts were members have brought their grandchildren.

The Rocky Explorers campouts have electric or water/electric only about 25% of the time, the remaining campouts are dry camping. We don’t take long trips every year, but we have gone out of state for a long weekend. Some of the long trips we went to were the Albuquerque Balloon Festival; Crazy Horse Volks March in South Dakota; Cabela’s in Sidney, Nebraska; Fort Robinson in Nebraska, and the Wine Festival in Grand Junction, Colorado. During campouts we enjoy Hiking, Dutch oven cooking, games, geocaching, potlucks and fun conversation. Whenever we are camped by a lake, we have several members that enjoy spending some time fishing.

When we are not camping, we do a variety of activities. A few of the activities we have done are Laser Tag, Bowling, Murder Mystery parties, Escape Room, Coors Tour, Georgetown Loop Railroad, and cooking a meal for the Ronald McDonald House.

We are looking for members that have similar interests and are comfortable being around dogs.
