We very rarely camp at commercial parks, generally Forest Service or State Parks.
What months does the chapter camp? April through October, usually the 3rd weekend
What kind of activities does the chapter do during campouts? The weekend events are hosted by a member, and usually include happy hour on Friday night as well as the Saturday potluck and meeting. We hike, bike, kayak, play board games, take in local sights, fish, have outdoor movie nights, and enjoy each other’s company and conversation, with or without a campfire.
What are the activities during non-camping months? Monthly lunch or dinner, plays, museums, bowling, tours
Does the chapter participate in most of the state campouts and activities? Rarely
Does the chapter travel together on long trips? Monthly campout extensions are frequently planned, lasting up to two weeks, and members may choose to travel together for longer trips out of state.
